What is Body-for-LIFE?

How will StartTodayFitness help me with my Body-for-LIFE challenge?

8 Tips

Why StartTODAYFitness?

If you wait for the perfect time, it will never happen. You will always have a challenging time ahead of you — someone’s birthday, a business trip, a stressful time, finals week, a new baby, holidays, a huge project, etc.

If you look for a reason to wait, you will find it.

But if you look around at the people you love and the people who love you, then take a look in the mirror, you’ll find undeniable reasons to Start TODAY.

Yes, you are making a major life change. But keep it in perspective.
It’s only 84 days.

StartTodayFitness
Starting today, you are completely changing your life! You will probably have a lot of questions and things you don’t understand. So before you take your photos and send in your entry form, give yourself a week – NOT to DECIDE to make the change. You have already done that.

Start your “unofficial” challenge TODAY. From this day forward, you are transforming into your Body-for-LIFE.

Since we became Body-for-LIFE Champions for 2000, EAS has generously given us the opportunity to speak all across the country to people like you. Each of you has touched our lives and every one of your stories has inspired us.

After a while we learned how to spot the ones who are more committed to their excuses than to their results. These are the ones who say “I’m going to TRY it, but …”

*
I’m going to start in a few weeks, after the kids go back to school, after the holidays, after the pressure at work goes down, after my big business trip, after …

*
I’m going to do it a little differently …

*
I’m going to cut this part of the program

*
I’ll do it, but I’ll still drink my wine (beer, etc.)

*
I can’t drink that much water

*
I can’t eat that often

*
I can’t afford the supplements

*
I don’t have time (kids, work, travel, busy, busy, busy!)

*
I’ll do it, but I won’t take the photos

*
I’m a guy. I’m not going to shave

*
I’m going to do it, but I’m not going to enter the challenge

And we can spot the ones who are serious, the ones who WILL succeed.
I’ll bet you’re one of them …

*
I’ve got these 7 things down. What ELSE do I need to know to make it?

*
How can I drink that much water every day?

*
What tips do you have to help me follow the program while I travel?

*
How do you fit in all of those meals?

*
How do I follow the program while my husband follows his old habits?

*
What’s your advice on doing cardio more than 3 times a week?

*
I’m going to Start Today!

What I’m going to tell you next is very difficult. But read it and read it all.

I don’t want you to start your official Body-for-LIFE challenge today.

But I DO want you to start ACTING like you’ve started your official Body-for-LIFE challenge today.

Take this week to prepare yourself. Check it out, try it out. Get ready, because you have a major life change ahead of you. Select a day, one week from today and make it your “official” start date.

Write it on your calendar. Program it in your Palm. Schedule it in your contact manager.

But, START ACTING LIKE YOU’VE STARTED YOUR OFFICIAL BODY-FOR-LIFE CHALLENGE TODAY.

Take this week to educate yourself:

    1.
Make an appointment with your doctor to discuss this life change and what YOU need to prepare your body.

    2.
    Read Body-for-LIFE.

    3.
    Research Body-for-LIFE.com.

    4.
Get the Body-for-LIFE Success Journal and start planning!

    5.
Do all you can to get off to your very best start by reading:

    BEFORE Photo Day Tips

    Before You Start

    Body-for-LIFE Information

    6.
Tour a few fitness centers, recreation centers, gyms, etc. until you find the one that fits YOU best.

    7.
Decide whether or not you are going to hire a trainer. If you are, begin your search. If you’re not, get into the gym and start asking a lot of questions. Bring your Body-for-LIFE book to the gym and use its diagrams to make sure you’re doing your lifts properly to avoid injury.

    8.
Get your EAS supplements. You can search health food stores and online sites for best prices, or make it easy on yourself and get everything you need for the next week, or the next month, with one click:

    9.
Get a journal or notebook to record your thoughts, obstacles and
high-points. (Again, the Body-for-LIFE Success Journal is ideal!)

    10.
Psyche yourself up to take those “before” photos.
(Don’t worry, you’ll find lots of Photo Tips here at StartTodayFitness.com

    And my awesome Personal Trainer

The change you’re about to experience is magical. But it might not be instant. Be kind to yourself. Give your body time to adjust to the changes you are about to put it through. And, just as important, give your mind time to adjust to the changes your body is going through. You are about to enter the most exciting, challenging, motivating, self-exploring, life-changing 12-weeks of your life.

It will be the easiest and most difficult thing you’ve ever done. It will be the most frustrating and most rewarding. It will help you notice that your life will never again be the same, and everything you used to be just isn’t good enough for the person you’ve just become.
