Your body needs at least ONE GALLON of water each and every day.
PLUS, replacement water for every ounce you sweat off in your workouts.
PLUS, ounce-for-ounce replacement water for your caffeine consumption.
PLUS, ounce-for-ounce replacement water for any carbonated beverage you consume.
Flavored water doesn’t count.
Carbonated water doesn’t count.
Seltzer water doesn’t count.
Iced tea doesn’t count.
Diet soda doesn’t count.
Juice doesn’t count.
Sport drinks don’t count.
The water in your Myoplex doesn’t count.
Your body needs at least ONE GALLON of pure water each and every day!
If you ever find yourself wondering if you’re drinking enough water, have another glass.
Do whatever you need to do to keep track. Donovan drinks at least 4 32 ounce bottles. Gino has a ½ gallon jug he carries, and drinks at least 2 every day. I track my water glass-by-glass.
You might be thinking, “all this water, I already retain water. I’m going to bloat out like a melon!”
Contrary to popular belief, the more water you drink, the less water you retain. Research has shown that water can help keep your muscles hydrated and more defined. Water can help you joints stay lubricated. Water can help your body burn fat.
When I don’t drink enough water in a day, I cramp when I’m running and sometimes have muscle twitches when I’m weight lifting. My mind gets cloudy and I feel tired.
When I’m well-hydrated, I can feel it all throughout my body, AND my mind.
So, what are you waiting for? Go grab some water! =o)
We weren't always in-shape and healthy. Six years ago we realized our lives had spiraled out of control.
